Key to the Galaxy Note line has always been the added stylus, or S-Pen, as Samsung likes to call it. The Galaxy Note 8 features a widescreen 18:5:9 aspect ratio. There's a special App Pairs feature which launches two apps in a split screen format using just a tap.

The handset measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6mm and weighs 195 grams. Live Message lets you share animated texts or drawings across platforms that support animated GIFs, bringing your messages to life. As a result, the Galaxy Note8 has successfully completed a rigorous series of device and battery safety compatibility test protocols. The S pen boasts the same IP68 water and dust resistance and is held at the bottom of the device.

The Note 8 is the follow-up to the unfortunately highly combustable Note 7 which set Samsung back immensely. With a new dual-camera setup at the rear, Samsung claims the Galaxy Note 8 packs its best-ever smartphone camera. The new dual-lens setup is the flawless combination of a telephoto lens and a wide-angle lens. Coming with dual 12MP sensors on the rear with one of them being the telephoto lens where you can zoom in 2x optical zoom and up to 10x digital zoom. This setup houses two 12MP image sensors with optical image stabilisation.

On the front, you're looking at an 8MP f/1.7 camera. The camera can record 4K videos at 30 fps. Under the hood, it gets the powerful 1.6GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM.

The Note8 has a big job to do, given that its predecessor, the Note 7, was recalled after some of the devices exploded.

Bixby Virtual Assistant support with dedicated Bixby button. From the performance point of view, the phone will push Full HD resolution on default settings. Connectivity on the smartphone includes NFC and MST for Samsung Pay, and offers USB Type-C charging port. There will be three different storage options and four different colors available for the phone, including Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Deep Sea Blue, and Orchid Grey.

The Samsung event in NY has just got over and in the event, Samsung has officially unveiled the latest Samsung Galaxy Note8.
