Samsung Galaxy Note8 Launched In India For Rs 67900

The latest price cut in India makes the premium dual-camera smartphone with FullVision display Rs. 14,000 cheaper than its launch price. Not only did it damage Samsung's brand value globally, it also resulted in a number of recalls resulting in billions of dollars of losses for the company.

While some reviewers have noted that the Galaxy Note 8 isn't wildly different from the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus launched in the spring, Samsung's latest phone introduces a number of new ways to use the provided S Pen stylus, including the ability to hand-write memos on the screen even when the device is locked. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 sports a huge 6.3-inch Infinity Display panel and is nearly bezel-less.

Google Pixel 2 will have a 5-inch display with HD screen and the Pixel XL 2 display will measure 6-inches and it will be based on Quad HD.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is priced at Rs 67,900, and will go on sale on September 21 in India. The phone gives you nearly 83 per cent of screen-to-body ratio.

Besides this, both the smartphones have a 64-bit Exynos 8895 octa-core processor chipset and come with 6GB RAM.

A decade into the smartphone era, Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. are betting they can increase sales by jacking up the price of their flagship products - bucking the usual downward arc for prices of consumer electronics in the years after introduction.

The dual-camera setup include a 12MP wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/1.7 and a 12MP telephoto lens with aperture of f/2.4. This shows the excitement of fans to get the Galaxy Note 8. A microSD card slot is available for memory expansion.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with a dual-rear camera setup: It consists of two 12-megapixel sensors featuring Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).

The revelation, which comes just days before the Galaxy Note 8 arrives in the United Kingdom, comes courtesy of Dongjin Koh, president of Samsung's mobile business. The Galaxy Note8 and the S Pen are both IP68 certified water and dust resistant and will be available in Midnight Black and Maple Gold colour variants. Pulling out of S-Pen opens a host of options, including ones that would let you scribble on screen, magnify and even translate languages for you. The dual camera system, in addition to allowing for wide angle and 2X zoom photos, also comes with a feature called Live Focus that allows for fancy portrait shots, in real time, much like the iPhone 7 Plus' Portrait Mode.

Connectivity: 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C, ANT+. The Bixby voice that has been announced for the country supports US English, but Samsung claims that it has been made for India and as such can understand our accents from any part of the country. Additionally, users can avail an extra cashback of Rs 4,000 on HDFC Bank credit cards. Apart from these high-end specs, the device also features a dedicated button for the company's Bixby personal AI assistant.
