WWE No Mercy 2017: Cesaro loses teeth, somehow keeps fighting

Monday, 25 Sep, 2017

The match had an incredible vibe from the start, with Reigns ostensibly ready to take over as the true face of the WWE.

For the first time in a long time, Brock is being booked as an underdog. In another spot, Cena cleared off two announcers' tables to try to AA Reigns onto one. Strowman has laid out Lesnar every time they met in the ring. Raw's biggest Superstar and current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will confront his biggest challenger since Goldberg - Braun Strowman. The referee takes away the championship. Miz landed a series of right hands then a northern lights suplex for a near fall. Miz kicks out, sending Jason to the ropes where Axel clocks him with I think a straight punch.

Spain: John Cena has reached the point where he can take any loss.

Strowman's destruction of Lesnar early in SummerSlam's Fatal 4-Way matchup for the Universal Championship was a glimpse into the type of exciting monster truck rally pitting WWE's two premier monsters against one another. Also, it sounds like Cena is going to be absent for a while afterwards as well.

I'd LOVE to see Rollins/Ambrose get an actual team name though, or at least reunite with Roman for one night so he can give his blessing for them to be called The Shield again.

Winner: Reigns, I guess. He has to turn heel soon because it's not working out for him as a babyface. It is going to be one of the most interesting events of the year to watch out for.

I expect this to be a very good match as it has a lot of hype going into it. Cesaro and Sheamus asked for their rematch shortly after. The crowd's reactions at No Mercy were a ideal example of this problem.

Spain: It's become painfully apparent that Bray Wyatt is incapable of doing anything with a victory. The clean finish - Balor jumped extra high to hit his Coup de Grace - likely means the program is over.

Although extremely painful, some would see the mishap as karma after a similar incident in a match occurred back in April. An unbelievable sequence and moment at No Mercy, something few, if anyone, ever accomplished in the WWE. Moving Amore to the Cruiserweight Division puts more eyes on 205 Live while giving Amore a serious program that focuses on in-ring competition and not just character.

Where does Bray Wyatt go from here?

Neville dominated and toyed with Amore for the majority of the match before he got hold of the title and threatened to use it on Neville.

-Welcome to the No Mercy edition of RAW Talk as we are fresh off of what was a damn fine wrestling show.

-The new CW Champ, Enzo Amore, interrupts and cracks jokes. It sure seems like the WWE is trying to squeeze whatever they can out of this dude before releasing him.

Yes, this is a vomit-inducing thing for me to write. Bayley had just broken up a Banks submission on Bliss, Banks returned the favor by breaking up a Bayley pinfall attempt, and Emma later broke up a Jax pinfall attempt.

In the opening match of the main pay-per-view, The Miz defeated Jason Jordan to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Miz gets some offense in including a DDT that he gets a two-count.
