Hugh Hefner's son Cooper pays tribute to late father

Playboy has turned its website into a tribute to the magazine's founder Hugh Hefner, who has died at the age of 91.

Hefner died at his home, the Playboy Mansion, of natural causes, Playboy Enterprises said in a statement.

In her 2015 memoir titled Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny, Madison largely describes her experience as Hefner's girlfriend as negative, revealing that she even contemplated suicide at one point.

Playboy magazine has also distinguished itself from other like titles for the quality of its articles.

ESPN host Jemele Hill posted a witty tribute on her Twitter account too, jokingly touching on the effect of this loss on Hefner's male readers. -Hefner on the eve of his marriage in 1989. Hefner's son, Cooper, who was almost 40 years younger than Christie, assumed a major role in the company in 2014.

He was best known for being the founder and chief creative officer of Playboy Enterprises.
