- "Hugh Hefner put me in Playboy & ignited my career".

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, model and businesswomen Tracy McGregor paid glowing tribute to Hefner, who died of natural causes at the age of 91 on Wednesday. It can still boast of having managed to persuade many stars to pose for his magazine sulphur.

On one side, there were those who saw Hefner's dressing women in bunny costumes with cottontails on their rears, or displaying them nude in his magazine with a staple in their navels, as simple subjugation of females, no matter how slick and smooth the packaging.

Playboy Enterprises announced his passing in a statement.

The Prime Minister explained on The Project on Thursday that he actually went to go and negotiate with Hugh Hefner's daughter, Christie about publishing the famous magazine in Australia.

RIP Hef! Reminiscing about my Playboy shoots, the wonderful parties at the mansion and how much I love Hef!

Hefner pointed to Terry and the Pirates and Steven Canyon writer-artist Milton Caniff as his illustrating idol, eventually recruiting the cartoonist for the sophomore issue of Playboy.

Pamela Anderson posted a video to Instagram - in it, she can be seen crying through smudged eye makeup - accompanied by a poem she penned for Mr Hefner.

Kendra's mother Patti Wilkinson told FOX 5 as soon as she heard the news of Hefner's death she called her daughter who was already on her way the mansion, devastated over the loss, but knew this day was coming.

Hefner had paid United States dollars 75,000 (Rs 49.32 lakh) for the crypt next to the first cover girl of the Playboy magazine. "What we've tried to do is turn on the lights", he wrote at a time when sex was a taboo in most countries.
