Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rallied for a final minute 25-23 victory over the Giants on Sunday to help them improve to 2-1 this season.

Folk's kick capped a nine-play, 59-yard drive, highlighted by Jameis Winston's 26-yard pass to tight end Cameron Brate, which positioned Tampa Bay at the NY 13-yard line.

The New York Giants come to town a wounded 0-3 team. Through the air, Manning completed 30 of 49 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns. For the Buccaneers, the quarter mark comes following Thursday's game.

The Giants win if: The Buccaneers' defensive game plan leaves receivers in the middle of the field alone, the offense abandons the run immediately again, and injuries have the team playing like a practice squad for the second straight week.

There is literally nearly no chance of a postseason berth for the Giants.

One week after throwing three interceptions in a lopsided loss at Minnesota, Winston was at his best with the game on the line - 5 for 5 for 55 yards on the drive setting up Nick Folk's 34-yard field goal as time expired. Bucs score extra point for 7-0 lead. To get out of the hole, they'll have to take down the young and talented Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1) at Raymond James Stadium Sunday.

Thomas Bassinger, @tometrics:.After surrendering more than 180 yards on four plays to the Vikings last Sunday, the Bucs found a way to contain the Giants' explosive capability, Odell Beckham in particular.

A Front Four that registered one sack on a day when Winston attempted 38 passes. Rodgers-Cromartie moved to free safety in some packages with safeties Landon Collins and Nat Berhe also on the field, and Apple and Janoris Jenkins at cornerback. Four plays later, Winston hit tight end Cameron Brate for a four-yard touchdown.

It's time for Eli Manning to quarterback his G-Men to a first-half lead, for once.

The Bucs took immediate advantage.

Bucs up 13-0 at end of first quarter.

"Very misleading", Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans said of New York's 0-3 record.

Tampa Bay tried to pad its lead in the second quarter, but Folk was wide right on a 46-yard field-goal attempt. "We're two field goals away from being 2-2". Keenum totaled 369 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no turnovers. Timeout called after touchdown call reversed.

Tampa Bay (2-1) won its sixth consecutive home game, dating to last season. Of course a Kwon Alexander or a Lavonte David can't be replaced, but champions are champions because they are able to overcome injuries through creativity and depth. Rookie Kendell Beckwith was moved to Major League Baseball and called the defensive signals.

Of course they won't concede this is already a lost season, but everyone else, certainly forlorn and angry Giants fans, will surely do it for them. The line had more movement when center Weston Richburg was evaluated for a possible concussion and Brett Jones replaced him.
